Bullhorn Troubleshooting

Issue

When attempting to connect or reconnect the Bullhorn integration in Spinify, users may encounter a 500 Internal Server Error during the authorization process.

Cause

This is a known issue on the Bullhorn side.

According to Bullhorn Support, the error can occur when a user attempts to authorize the Bullhorn integration in a browser that already has an active Bullhorn session stored in its cookies or cache.

Resolution

Option 1: Log Out of Bullhorn Before Connecting

  1. Open Bullhorn in your browser.
  2. Log out of your Bullhorn account.
  3. Return to Spinify.
  4. Attempt to connect or reconnect the Bullhorn integration again.

Option 2: Use an Incognito/Private Browsing Window (Recommended)

If logging out does not resolve the issue, or if you want to avoid any cached session conflicts:

  1. Open a new Incognito (Chrome) or Private Browsing window.
  2. Log in to Spinify.
  3. Navigate to the Bullhorn integration settings.
  4. Connect or reconnect the Bullhorn integration.

This method bypasses existing browser cookies and cached Bullhorn sessions and has been the most reliable workaround.

Additional Notes
  • Bullhorn has identified this as a known issue and has flagged it with their Development Team.
  • If a user continues to experience the error after logging out of Bullhorn, recommend completing the connection process in an Incognito/Private Browsing window.
