Can I Add A Competition To A Channel Multiple Times?
If you want a competition to appear more than once in your channel rotation (for example, to keep it showing up more frequently on screens), you can add it multiple times using the channel editor. This is helpful when you want a specific competition to cycle through more often alongside others.
When to Use This
Adding a competition multiple times is useful when:
-
You want one competition to appear more frequently than others.
-
Your channel rotation feels too slow and you want to speed up visibility for a specific competition.
-
You have multiple competitions in a channel and want one to repeat in the loop.
Step-by-Step Instructions
-
Open your channel
-
Go to the channel where your competition is displayed (e.g., Spring Carnival).
-
-
Edit the channel
-
Click the pencil (edit) icon on the channel.
-
-
Scroll to the Screen Order section
-
Scroll down until you see the list of items to add to the channel.
-
-
Select the competition again
-
Find the competition you want to repeat (e.g., Spring Carnival) in the list.
-
-
Add it multiple times
-
Click the competition to add it again.
-
Click Done.
-
Repeat this process:
-
Click Select Screens again,
-
Select the same competition again,
-
Click Done.
-
-
-
Save your changes
-
Once added the number of times you want, save/update the channel.
-
What Happens Next?
-
Each time you add the competition, it appears as another item in the channel loop.
-
The channel will now cycle through all competitions in order — including repeated ones.
-
Even though it looks like separate entries, it’s still the same competition displaying multiple times.
Example
If your channel has:
-
Spring Carnival
-
Weekly Winners
-
Monthly Sprint
…and you add Spring Carnival two more times, your loop becomes:
-
Spring Carnival
-
Weekly Winners
-
Spring Carnival
-
Monthly Sprint
-
Spring Carnival
This makes Spring Carnival appear more often during the cycle.
Tips
-
The faster your competitions are set to rotate, the more noticeable the repetition will be.
-
Use repetition sparingly so the channel still feels balanced.
