Can I Use OR Filter Conditions

You can use OR for the filters and below there are instructions on how this can be done.

1. Edit the Competition or Achievement

When editing a competition or achievement, once filters have been selected, it is possible to also add filter logic.

2. Add filter logic

Add the criteria you'd like to enter into the filter logic.

In the example above, the filter can be type A or B and occurs within the competition duration. If these criteria are met, the achievement will be triggered. Brackets are used here to isolate the filter so that it's triggered based on being 1 or 2 as opposed to 2 and 3.

🎉 New Feature: Customizable Filter Logic for Achievements

We're excited to introduce a powerful enhancement to achievement customization—Customizable Filter Logic. This new feature gives you precise control over how achievements are triggered, enabling deeper personalization and alignment with your unique business rules.

🔍 What’s New?

You can now define advanced filter logic within achievement conditions. This means you can specify exactly how criteria should be evaluated before an achievement is triggered.

For example:

  • Configure filters to check for Type A or Type B conditions.

  • Replace rigid combinations like “Condition 2 and Condition 3” with flexible logic such as “Condition 1 or (Condition 2 and Condition 3)”.

  • Use brackets (parentheses) to isolate and prioritize certain logic groups, just like you would in a mathematical equation.

🛠️ Why It Matters

This new level of customization allows you to:

  • Tailor achievements to better reflect real-world goals and KPIs.

  • Create more dynamic and nuanced recognition paths.

  • Support a wider variety of use cases with minimal setup.

✅ Use Case Examples

  • Trigger an achievement if a user completes either Task A or Task B, regardless of order.

  • Require a user to complete both Task X and Task Y, but only after Task Z has been started.

  • Isolate conditions using parentheses to ensure accurate logical grouping and eliminate misfires.

The new filter logic puts complete control in your hands—so you can design achievements that truly reflect your performance goals and workflow needs.
